Day 1
Setting the Scene:
We examine the current financial climate for investors and discuss why it is important to have control over your trading, and control over volaility especially in these changing times.
Creating Your Personal Trading Goals:
Each of us has a differing risk profile, by understanding your own profile better you are more likely to know when to exit a trade with profit. Learn the 7 golden rules of trade planning.
Trading 101
Learn how today's traders set up, what kind of day they can expect, and how they go about searching for information that will earn them money.
Stock Selection:
Choosing the right tock to trade will determine how successful your trading will become. We break down selection into two areas::
- Fundamental Analysis
- Technical Analysis
Introduction to Level 2 Trading
A brief introduction to the concept of Level 2 trading and how the small trader can use Level 2 technology to beat the big investment banks.
Live Trading Part III
In this final hour, you will be given your own PC and a guided tour of a leading online trading platform and a run down of the most useful information sources and forums for investors and traders. Familiarity with the screens will help when the going speeds up!

Global Markets in 2009
Listen to a respected analyst present the state of the global capital markets and how he sees the future for stock and commodity markets for the next twelve months.
Fundamental Analysis
With a good understanding of the economic environment, good traders spend many hours reseaching company fundamentals to determine the health of the business, management competence, and potential growth prospects in the market. Live Trading Part II
Placing your trades. In this second live trading session, we will guide you through the process of successfully timing your trades - either buy or sell - and then timing the close. You will also analyse and select three stocks to research for trading later in the course.
Day 3
Charting Myths
Technical Analysis can sometimes become more confusing than it really ought to be. In this short session, we recommend the 5 key chart patterns that every trader should be aware of and which complicated analysis to stay clear of.
Trading Strategies
Learn 3 proven strategies that will keep you ahead of the markets and limit your losses!
Money Management:
Learning how much to lose is your key to winning. Most successful traders only expect to profit for 2 out of every 10 trades. The key to their success lays in taking profits at the right time, and in cutting losing trades sharply.
Trading Psychology

Live Trading Part III
Test your short term trading. Under guidance from the instriuctor, spend the final hour trading live in the US markets. Using all, or just one of your three chosen stocks, demonstrate your new skills as a trader. The student with highest return at market close wins a special prize.
